iPhone 15 Series: Brighter and More Accurate Displays for All Models

All iPhone 15 Models to Feature Samsung OLED Panels

The latest buzz in the tech industry is that every iPhone 15 model could feature the same Samsung OLED panel. Apple and Samsung have a long-standing relationship that has benefited both companies, and this collaboration is just another example of their successful partnership.

Until now, Apple has used different suppliers for different iPhone models. This has led to inconsistencies in display quality across different iPhone models. But with this new collaboration, every iPhone 15 model could feature the same Samsung OLED panel, leading to a more uniform and consistent display quality across all models.

According to Korean publication The Elec, Samsung is expected to supply its M12 OLED panels to all four models of the upcoming iPhone 15 series. Previously, these panels were only used in the iPhone 14 Pro models. The move to expand the use of M12 panels is good news for all iPhone 15 models, as it would result in brighter and more accurate displays. However, it’s important to note that this does not necessarily mean that the base models will have features such as ProMotion or an Always-On display.

Samsung is reportedly also developing M14 material for the iPhone 16 series, with the M13 panel being prioritized for Google’s first folding device. Samsung Display and LG Display are expected to supply OLED panels for the Pro models, while BOE will provide them for the base models. However, the initial batch of OLED panels for all four models will come from Samsung.

The iPhone 15 series is expected to introduce Dynamic Island to all four models, with regular versions receiving more features than the previous iPhone 14 release. A 48MP primary sensor and the A16 Bionic chip are expected for the base model, along with a cheaper price point compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. The high-end version will feature a titanium frame, haptic buttons, and a faster 3nm processor with a focus on power efficiency.

This collaboration between Apple and Samsung is just the latest example of their successful partnership. It remains to be seen what other collaborations the two companies may have in the future, but it is clear that they both benefit from this ongoing relationship.
