How to Check for the Latest Firmware Updates
To check whether your AirPods or other accessories have received the latest firmware update, follow these steps:
- Ensure that your iPhone or iPad is running the latest software update.
- Connect your AirPods or Beats headphones to your iPhone.
- Open the Settings app and tap your headphones at the top.
- Swipe to the bottom of the screen and look for the Version number.
If your headphones haven’t been updated yet, simply leave them charging in their case, close to your iPhone or other Apple device, and the update will be automatically installed at some point.
